We had a brilliant lunch here. Despite being a large party of 11 we were comfortably seated around a table easily big enough for us all with plenty of space around for everyone. The service was good and the food was delicious, enjoyed by all; the vegetarian options more than on a par with meat dishes and plenty of variety. Out meal with drinks was also excellent value for money. There is a lovely atmosphere with an open fire and a warm welcome. Highly recommended.
Went in for lunch sounded good starter and main £10. Had to call the waitress back as there was hair in my soup. Staff apologised the main meal was chicken covered with cheese and chips with a few bits of rocket which was called salad. A pint of lager cost £4 which I thought was expensive. Sorry I didn't enjoy this place.

Just stopped in here for a drink around lunch time. I was given a potted tour of the hotel by a very enthusiastic young man. The restaurant was busy and looked very nice indeed. Uniformed staff very efficient and friendly.
Good place for a business meeting over coffee. Have met here twice for coffee and each time found a quiet corner mid morning. Small car park at rear, pay & display a couple of minutes walk away if that is full. Tasty coffee served with shortbread biscuit. Clean toilets with lovely hand cream!

Spent 2 nights here. Staff were great and compensated us for some issues we had. They have recently taken it over apparently and a few upgrades are needed (beds were super soft and springy) but I got the impression they will make it a top top place. Cooked breakfast was great. Mash and pie with dinner were dry. Mostly a great stay. Lovely country pub with a beautiful garden.
Menu looked so good it was difficult to decide what to have. I went with the lamb shank curry which was tasty and filling. Staff were very pleasant and helpful making it all the more enjoyable. .

Had an amazing experience here, the staff were amazing, they made a special vegan meal for my friends and myself, couldn't have chosen a better place. Food 10/10 service 10/10 Best pub in North Wiltshire. Trust me... I'm a local.
Was excellent now thisgreat historic pub is lacking something with food and it needs better beer on tap. Hopefully i will be revising this review one day as this used to be my favourite pub in Malmesbury!! Written by a local so I know what I am talking about 😁

Pub is really nice and great setting. Guinness was good but food was poor. Had fish and chips. Chips were described as hand cut but they came from a bag, also they had been refryed. Expensive for what we got
Service wasn't the best but food/drinks was of high quality

We enjoyed two weeks in July 2017 in the renewed Braxted Cottage, we had been there with the previous owners and it was a great experience, but with the recent renewal of furniture and beds it is now even better. The kids really enjoyed their stay as they could share the huge garden with Ruth and Dan's daughters. It is incredible how caring Ruth and Dan were, they really make you feel home. We had some friends coming over to visit and they all agreed how much they loved the house, it is on the best spot within Malmesbury and it has got everything you need. We used the provided barbecue one of the nights with some friends coming over and it was simply fantastic. Dan, Ruth, we will be coming again this summer, I will contact you shorter when I know the date, thanks so much for an unforgettable stay .
Braxted Cottage is an excellent holiday cottage. The cottage was comfortable, very clean, very well-equipped. This nice cottage is located in a street very close to the center of the beautiful village of Malmesbury. We particularly enjoyed living in this traditional English Village and visiting the wonderful fields and villages of the Cotswolds

Great hosts, great rooms and an absolutely lovely town!
My wife and I stayed at The Stables at The Rookery for a long weekend and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the quiet nature of the Cotswolds. We have stayed at numerous places throughout the UK and Europe and this was by far the most comfortable and relaxing. The proprietors are extremely helpful and their attention to detail in ensuring our vacation was just what we were looking for was spot on. Where The Stables at The Rookery is located is the perfect launching spot for visiting numerous areas around the Cotswolds, and if you have an opportunity to stay here I would highly recommend it.

A little slice of countryside heaven. The bed in the weavers wagon was very comfy. Very peaceful, simple amenities. Good for exploring surrounding areas. Loved our stay, would definitely recommended.

The B&B is located just a few minutes drive from Malmesbury, yet the setting is rural and tranquil. There are superb gardens, and views to the front and back. The double room was spacious with plenty of storage space, an en-suite bathroom, and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was lovely. The hosts were very friendly and engaging. Would be happy to stay here again.
I come here with my mum, very clean, comfortable and friendly. I stay here with my mum. Great place MATT

We were recommended this B&B by another hotelier who couldn't accommodate us. We were put in the coach house and were certainly impressed. The accommodation was first class with a lounge with tv, dining room with microwave, fridge and tea making facilities . Upstairs was a double bedroom and separate bathroom. Came with free WiFi and parking. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Ten minutes from Tetbury or Malmesbury. Lovely accommodation and would certainly go back again
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Great little site. Nice view of open fields and the Abbey in the background. Clean washing-up facilities (only 1 sink) and a wonderful newly refurbished wet room with shower. Facilities include a fridge freezer, toaster and kettle. Plus power sockets. Owner is obliging and friendly
